That’s a good question!
I would say it’s in between a twiner and a tendril climber. It seems to use the leaf petioles as a kind og tendril together with the heart shaped leaf to hang on to branches. It needs a rough surface and fails to climb up bamboo.

An academic question: is Hablitzia a scrambler, twiner, tendril climber or which other method does it use to climb?
